it’s my first smw hack!!!! ive been playing rom hacks from this website for a couple years, and ive always wanted to try making one myself. not to say that i dont have any experience with level design, ive studied the levels of plenty of other games and made plenty of 2d platformer levels in other contexts for many years. this hack was made in roughly two months and is somewhat short, just two worlds. i didnt want to be super ambitious with this first hack, its good to not set super large and time consuming goals for your first project
regarding the contents of the hack itself, its standard but its still very difficult. i wouldnt consider it to be kaizo, but my friend who tested it said that the levels after the first few are pretty kaizoish. most mechanics in this game are from the original game, i only used a few external resources in the levels. ill definitely explore more into new and cool mechanics in future hacks anyways thats all, have a toothpaste time i guess
