Spinjump.net is a Super Mario ROM Hack aggregator/archive.

I am pulling from smwcentral.net, romhacking.com, and romhackraces.com so there can be one consistent dated list and archive of all the content that this beautiful community has made. I’m using python scripts to grab/organize the content, and then rendering each hack to a hugo compatible website so everything is static and (hopefully) super fast. No backend here! Just scripting that brings in sweet sweet basic HTML rendering!

On my TODO list:

Also keep different versions of hacks that may have been updated (ongoing!)
Make playlists more worth it and add more, maybe we auto-zip them together cleanly?
Some zip files have more than one ips/bps file, make that a more tangible thing somehow

How big is all of this?

The whole site is roughly 12gb (so far) with all the patch and images files included. Not too bad for roughly 5000+ hacks!

I think you might be missing some recent entries!

I’m currently running a script pulling lists manually until I get a bit more performance out of it where I can feel better setting it to a proper scheduled task daily/weekly.

I don’t see any roms! Where are they?

There aren’t any anywhere! These are just purely patch files and I’m not distributing ROMs at all here ever. You can use flips to patch these files appropriately.

I want more Mario games!

Suggest me some! I just found SMW and SM64 to be the most popular for now.

X hack is weird, why did you keep this one?

Because I don’t want to NOT get everything, it’s an ARCHIVE thing, not a picker-chooser thing. Also trying to keep all previous versions for historical sake.
