Yep, it’s demo 2 of my hack, The Title is Irrelevant.
Mario has gotten bored of saving the same princess millions of times, and decides to wander around the world. Little did he know, no epic tale was about to unfold… or was it? No, probably not.
The Title is Irrelevant is a mostly “vanilla” hack, with a few hex edits that don’t affect gameplay but that’s it.
The readme contains all the other information you don’t need to know.

The Title is Irrelevant - DEMO 2
Levels, overworld and palettes and maybe some other stuff too are all made by me, Forty2.
Basically all the other stuff was Nintendo's creation.
Lunar Magic, the tool used to actually make everything, made by FuSoYa.
This hack was made with LM v1.65, and also edited slightly in LM v1.82 to apply the FastROM patch.
Translhextion by Januschan (?) used for the small hex edits I made.
A big thanks to SMW Central for being a great community, helping when I run into problems, and generally being cool and such.
A mention to Megafonzie for being a c00l d00d and thinking I'm a c00l d00d.
Probably the biggest thanks to Captain Pissweak, for testing the first demo and being a cool guy. Still miss the guy.
And a final 'thank you' goes to you, the anonymous reader (and hopefully player), for wasting a couple of minutes of your time to read what I typed up for you. How nice of you.
NOTE: It is greatly advised that you attempt to find the secret exits. There's some pretty cool stuff you can only find if you explore.

THE MORE DETAILED PLOT (just so you know):
Every week was the same in Mario's life, it was getting boring and monotonous.
Bowling on Friday,
Plumbing on Saturday,
Peach gets kidnapped on Sunday,
Toad annoys the hell out of everyone on Monday,
Mario goes to Bowser's Castle to shut Toad up on Tuesday,
Beats up Bowser on Wednesday,
And returns with Peach on Thursday.
Mario decided he's go out on his own adventure and take a break, no saving princesses or killing massive, spiky, fire-breathing turtles involved.

There should also be some probably outdated images of levels in my SMWC profile, though I might end up moving/removing them at some point. They normally only show the main level though, so you'll have to find secrets yourself (or get someone else to do it).

v0.21 - September 26, 2011
-Generally fixing stuff in levels that I don't remember since it's happened over the last eight months.
-Bits of stuff that I have(n't) been working on since the original Demo 2, most notably the new submap and a sky world level.
-FASTROM ENABLED! There should be significantly less slowdown now, so you can enjoy all your favourite levels now lag-free.
-"Experimental Method" was supposed to be called "Overgrown", so that's been fixed.
Demo 2 (a.k.a v0.2) - January 15, 2011
-Featuring two whole new worlds of levels for you to play through and (hopefully) enjoy!
-Also three new overworld submaps that are in there just to tease you.
-Some general edits to the past overworld to make it better looking, most notably the first world.
-Some general edits to a few old levels (and maybe level names).
-Maybe some other stuff. Now get to playing already!
v0.13 - June 15, 2010
-Fixed walking through the edge into the ground error in It's Not A Desert. Thanks to Doreagarde for pointing it out.
-Fixed it so when entering from the midpoint of The Sandstorm the BG scrolls properly. Thanks to Spud Alpha for pointing it out.
-There's an inaccessible submap in the ROM (the one I posted in my thread already).
v0.12 - June 12, 2010
-Made it so the moon in Frosty Lake has to be gotten the originally intended way. Don't know why I didn't fix it earlier.
-Another musical fix (Into the Darkness).
-A few other minor things too.
-Unnecessarily wasted a few bytes of bandwidth by adding the more detailed plot to the readme. Thanks to CP for the idea.
v0.11 - June 12, 2010
-Fixed ending of Door-to-Door Rush so you can't die if you bring the key with you. Thanks to GoldenSonic15 for pointing this out.
-Two musical changes. (keckcellent's idea)
-Some other minor edits/fixes.
-Turns out there are actually only 24 exits, so that was fixed. Thanks to Megafonzie for pointing this out.
