Six years after the events of JTTMK 3, Moonlight has been sailing the world alone for the first time to help people in need. What might she uncover next, on the island country of Prisminia? Hopefully, nothing more than what’s on the surface…

This is a demo of the beginning of a larger project I’ve been quietly working on for a few years now, and it’s time to reveal it.

Requires no knowledge of any prior games. For even more detailed information, check out the included readme!

~~~~~~Introduction~~~~~~
Hello! Thank you for playing the demo for my latest project, The Path from Prisminia!
To play this game, you'll need to get a clean, unedited ROM of Super Mario World. They're not hard to find.
Then, apply the included .BPS file to the ROM, using the tool "Floating IPS"!
This is something I've been quietly working on for a few years. With all the changes in my real life as of late, it's
been hard to work on it as much as I'd want to, but I'm still making slow yet steady progress. Recently, in the midst of working on
Chapter 2 of the story, I decided it was time to reveal the project by making a demo build that has the Prologue and Chapter 1.
~~~~~~Information~~~~~~

This game takes place in the same continuity as my previous published project, JTTMK 3, but you do not need to play that in any way for this one.
After a brief recap of past events in the intro, that's all you need! It begins a little over six years after the events of that aforementioned title.

The idea with the story content is that you have the introduction and premise here in the beginning with a lot of setup, and from then on, the story takes a backseat,
with cutscenes being relegated to the beginning and end of each chapter. That, and an NPC area or two. In this demo, it's a small slice of everything.

You'll find a sampling of how the completed game will operate. There is a mix of standard linear stages, and taller, more exploratory vertical stages.
While the "goal" is still to get to the end, your secondary objective will be to collect coins. Though not in this demo for story reasons,
once Chapter 2 begins, you will need to use your stockpiled coins to progress through the game. So, get used to the idea of collecting a lot here!

~~~~~~Tips~~~~~~
- Save your game anywhere on the map by pressing Select. There won't be many forced save prompts, so remember this.
- Press Y or X to talk to NPCs, and Up to go through doors. Press B to advance through cutscenes.
- In some areas, you can use Y or X to inspect things to get some flavor text. Try it out in the cabin of Moonlight's ship.
- Once you unlock it, practice holding down B efficiently to make best use of your hover.
- Power-ups are fairly scarce. You can always visit the city's shop after a certain point, though. Just don't blow your coins on a Star... yet.
- In almost every area, there's a single big coin either hidden, or in a hard-to-reach spot. Can you get them all?
- Definitely don't look for otherwise completely-hidden pipes anywhere. Nope, nothing incriminating to find. Huh? I didn't say anything. Forget it.
~~~~~~Conclusion~~~~~~

If for any reason you run into any glitches, crashes, or what-have-you, let me know in the comments on SMWC! (or you can message me via my profile, if you want)
I've done my testing on both emulation and real hardware, but who knows what I might have missed.

That's all for now. Look forward to the full game sometime in the future!
