Tartastrophe: a very sticky hack

Mario, on his quest to explore the world, stumbles upon the Tar Kingdom. The tar in this kingdom has special properties and as such is harvested in a great factory for the creation of special technologies.

All was well in the tar kingdom, when suddenly, a pipe is ruptured and floods the entirety of the surrounding area! Will Mario find the cause of the pipe burst before more occur or will the entire kingdom be consumed by deadly tar?

WARNING: I intentionally made this hack extremely brutal and while there may only be 1 exit, the sections are very long and immensely difficult. Want some very technical kaizo? This is for you.

Technically this is my first hack, but due to my sheer insanity I’ve got a couple others in the works and don’t expect sheer and utter torment in terms of difficulty from all of my hacks… I just felt particularly sadistic with this one.
