Super Weekend World

Can someone who’s never made a hack before finish one in less than 48 hours?

I asked myself that question last Friday before Global Game Jam 2020 started and by Sunday evening I had Super Weekend World.

Super Weekend World includes:

• 4 whole kaizo levels (with names!)
• Custom-ish boss fight
• Hand-crafted overworld (made in 20 minutes after watching half of a youtube tutorial at 1.5x speed)
• Title screen with the name of the game on it
• No game-breaking bugs! (probably)

Super Weekend World does not include:

• Custom graphics
• Custom music
• Custom asm
• More than 48 hours of work

Thanks to Romhack Races for their baserom which saved me at least 30 minutes, which is three times as much time as I spent on making the boss fight.
