Super Samsara World is a medium-difficulty, 99% vanilla kaizo hack that starts pretty easy and ramps up gradually, culminating in a challenging special world for players who find all three of the game’s Switch Palaces.

This hack features: Retry system Mostly non-vanilla music (except SMW Athletic because it still slaps) An any% ending and a 100% ending Shoutouts to the kaizo creators who kept me inspired along the way

Super Samsara World is a one-woman project and my first SMW hack. After almost a year of work, I’m very honored to finally be able to share it with the SMW Central community.

This hack is dedicated to my best friend, who is the person who first introduced me to Kaizo hacks, and inspired me to try my hand at making one of my own.

---Super Samsara World v 1.1---

Super Samsara World is a medium-difficulty, 99% vanilla kaizo hack that starts pretty easy and ramps up gradually,
culminating in a challenging special world for players who find all three of the game's Switch Palaces.

This hack features:
Retry system
Mostly non-vanilla music (except SMW Athletic because it still slaps)
An any% ending and a 100% ending
Shoutouts to the kaizo creators who kept me inspired along the way

Super Samsara World is a one-woman project and my first SMW hack.
After almost a year of work, I'm very honored to finally be able to share it with the SMW Central community.

This hack is dedicated to my best friend, who is the person who first introduced me to Kaizo hacks,
and inspired me to try my hand at making one of my own.

---Notes---
In keeping with the game's vanilla spirit (and to showcase the incredible talents of the SMWC community),
the entirety of its soundtrack is UNSAMPLED.

In a few levels, the reload time after you select "retry" is extremely long (most notably Firmament Ascent).
I apologize for this inconvenience, and welcome any advice or suggestions for how to correct this issue.

In the level Quicksilver Seam, the lava splash graphics are glitchy, and I do not know how to fix the problem
given the bypassed sprite set I'm using for the level. Any insight for how to correct/patch this issue would be
much appreciated.

This hack has been tested and verified to work with no performance/etc. issues on Super Nintendo, Super NT, and SNES9X.
It doesn't contain any ASM that is known to prevent a hack from working on SNES Classic,
but I have not yet been able to test it on that system.

Samsara is the Buddhist concept of rebirth and the cyclical nature of existence.
It felt fitting for a kaizo hack, both in terms of the nature of kaizo gameplay and in the tradition of giving hacks Japanese names.

---Special Thanks---
A gigantic shoutout and THANK YOU to Dode, who suffered through a horrendous early version of this hack.
This game would be far worse without his kindness, constructive criticism, and insight into SMW kaizo.

Also a huge thank you to Nexus, who provided tons of excellent feedback for improving version 1.1.
