Super Ryu World






Dedicated to Ryukahr, this hack is focused on old fashioned platforming.
Has infinite lives, the retry system and a few patches fixing some minor bugs from vanilla SMW.
Version 1.2 ———–
Lots of changes, the full list is within the Zip file, however i’ll mention the important stuff here.
-Makes it so there’s no need to screen scroll in any level. -Swapped the positions of De La Mole and Oshikorosu’s Cave as well as giving those levels new palettes. -Changes a lot of weird or janky sections that most people didn’t like. -Makes some jumps less tight, making the levels more enjoyable overall. -Fixes a lot of sections where the player would have to wait unnecessarily for a setup no matter what. -Fixes some unfair sections that where based on the global timer or RNG. -Changes the aesthetics of Nugget Bridge.

----THE BEGGINING----
1. Makes the second jump ( piranha plant) less tight.
----PEPPERONI BRIDGE----
1. Changes the second dolphin for a short jump one so there's no need to scroll to make it spawn.
2. Deletes the obstacle after the hammer bro.
----RYU'S CAT PALACE----
1. Changes the bowser statue for a grinder.
2. Adds one invisible POW coin to guide the player.
3. Makes the Yoshi jump a little easier.
4. Fixes minor cut offs.
----DE LA MOLE----
1. It's now the 4th level in the game, so the difficulty curve is better.
2. The second small mole has more space now.
3. Removes one death block on the second small mole.
4. Changes the mole + super koopa jump for a big mole.
5. Deletes the kaizo block on the third small mole.
6. Adds one death block for the falling big mole, making the jump more easy.
7. Removes a kaizo block right after the mid way.
8. Changes the weird mole spin jump for a jumping piranha plant.
9. Fixes a minor cut-off with a bush.
----PUBLIC TRANSPORT----
1.Changes the text displayed by the message box.
2.Changes the spawn of the big mole at the mid way, making it around 3 seconds faster.
----AGUNI'S CASTLE----
1. Makes the second jump on the first room easier by lowering the the falling platform and the spike by 1 tile.
2. Adds one extra block during the chainsaw section in the second room.
3. Now the midway spawns you right at the boss door.
4. Deletes one fireball during the boss fight.
5. Lowers the boss health to 3 instead of 5.
6. Fixes a minor cutoff during the boss fight with the ON/OFF block.
----OSHIKOROSU'S CAVE----
1. It's now the 8th level in the game.
2. Fixes some minor cutoffs.
3. Adds a new palette.
4. Changes the first jump for a shell jump->koopa bounce instead of a Yoshi shell jump.
5. Deleted the muncher in the second jump.
6. Changes the turn block bridge for 2 falling platforms.
7. Places the grinder better so the player can get past it faster.
8. Deletes one trolly Football Chuck in the first half of the level, right before the Blaarg jump.
9. Moves the Blaarg 2 tiles to the left so the player doesn't have to wait for it to "jump" out of the lava.
10. Makes the first jump after the midway faster.
11. Positions the Blaarg a little closer to the pumpkin.
12. Changes the Chuck on the throw block for a football.
13. Makes the ceiling a little higher before the last jump.
----SIRENA FOREST----
1. Changes the start of the level to keep the player busy with something instead of having him wait for around 4 seconds.
2. Deletes one kaizo block.
3. Adds a coin to guide the player on one particular jump.
4. Makes two jumps near the first lotus volcano plant less tight.
5. Closes the hole with the vine on the section with the Baseball Chucks.
----RYUKAHR'S CRIB----
1. Deletes the Boo at the start of the level.
2. Deletes one block in the corner of layer 2 after the koopa.
3. Deleted the Boo ring and added 3 bullets instead.
4. Added a new obstacle where the Boo ring used to be
5. Fixed the problem where sometimes the first spinny would be invisible.
6. Now the midway spawns you right at the door for the boss fight.
7. The climbing net on the boss fight is longer.
----NUGGET BRIDGE----
1. Changes the aesthetics to those of Pepperoni Bridge.
2. Makes the galoomba jump 1 tile lower. (making it more consistent)
3. Moves the torpedo launcher 3 tiles to the left to avoid the need of screen scrolling.
4. Changes the last vertical dolphin for one note block.
----ICE MINE SLIDE----
1. Deletes the first kaizo block.
1. Puts the Football 1 tile higher.
----HEART ATTACK CAVE----
1. Adds 2 falling spikes before the midway.
2. Adds a falling platform on the shell jump section, so there's no need to screen scroll.
3. Changes the bowser statue, so there's no need to screen scroll.
----FOUNTAIN OF DREAMS----
1. Adds a wall so the player can't skip the first 2 jumps of the level.
----MARYUKAHR'S CASTLE----
1. Deletes one spike on the first Thwomp
2. Changes the cement block for a death block on the first ball and chain.
3. Deletes one moving vertical spike on layer 2.
4. Makes the ceiling 1 tile higher on the jumping bowser statue section.
4. The bullet bill generator spawns deeper into the level.
