Updated 8/6/14. Fixed a hideous bug that killed the player on World 3-5. Also fixed some small inconveniences. Thanks to yoshicookiezeus for pointing out the errors.
Well, I wasn’t planning on submitting this just yet, but since my hard drive crashed and I lost my files, I am not going to be updating this for a while. So I might as well give a little something back to the SMWC community for their support.
Here is a hack I’ve been working on since mid-2013 up to this point. It’s not much, but it should keep you busy for an hour or two.
PLOT: The Mario Bros. were enjoying some cake with the Princess when all of a sudden an airship comes to wreck the castle and takes Peach. Could it be Bowser again? Or is it someone different, for once? Well, we certainly aren’t going to find out just by sitting there, now will we?

And now, about my hack.
==========================PLOT==========================
A mysterious airship arrives and attacks Peach's
castle. The Mario Bros. are knocked unconscious
while the princess is kidnapped, and later wake
to find the castle in ruins without any sign of Peach.
As the game progresses, we learn through letters
that Peach sends the Mario Bros. that she had been
kidnapped by a strange entity who brought her into
another dimension--a dimension that this entity had
seemingly created.

It's only about 4 worlds long, with 40 exits.
I wasn't planning on releasing it yet, since
I'm the type of person that likes to finish
what they start, but I am releasing it because
I feel like I owe something to the nice people
at SMWC.
Anyways, the other day my hard drive crashed
and I lost all my data. (Don't upgrade to
Windows 8, it's a huge pain in the butt, IMO).
Fortunately, I had a copy of my hack on an SD
card and was able to polish it up to put on
display on SMWC. Since I lost all the data
that had come withmy hack, it's gonna take me
a while to find all of the missing resources
and resume its production. Meanwhile, however,
you are free to play it now.
The plot of the story--as well as any other
element of this hack--are subject to change
in the future once I get my computer back on
track.
