Long overdue sequel to Punishing Pothole 2, which in turn is a Kaizo sequel to a low-placing VLDC level I made in 2012. Just like its predecessors, it incorporates numerous creative uses of layer 2. This was originally was going to be part of Mario’s Dying Simulator (hence the BLDC resources) but due to its scope as well as for consistency’s sake I decided it would be better as a stand-alone single-level. Some of the rooms feature a gimmick where landing on anything on layer 2 will cause it to sink, either crushing Mario or making the section impassable. There are on/off solid blocks that are on layer 2, allowing for some of the most creative layer 2 shenanigans I’ve ever designed (which is saying a lot). There’s also numerous Chomp rock puzzles mixed in.
