Mute's Christmas Quest
Mute’s Christmas Quest, a two level SMW Mod that acts as a semi-sequel to Super Mario World: The After Years by EvilGuy0613. To sum up the plot, 7 months after Nova’s defeat in the Industrial Lands, the Mushroom Kingdom has since been rebuilt to look more like the kingdom of years’ past. Mute gathers gifts from the newly built Toad Town for Princess Cecilia, Lumine, and Allen Yoshi (the same Yoshi from “Super Yoshi Land: The Rescue Mission” as well as The After Years). As Mute and Cecilia talk, Yoshi alerts them that the gifts have been stolen by a couple crooks that went off to “The Abandoned Tower”. Mute offers to get the gifts back, and thus his new quest begins in this new chapter.
The game contains a lot of inside jokes from EvilGuy0613’s discord server that are hidden as easter eggs throughout the two levels, as well as giving the characters much more difference between each other. There are even some things you might learn from all the established characters thus far…
Disclaimer: Since this is a semi-sequel, I recommend you either play or at least watch “SMW: The After Years” to get a grasp of it’s story before playing since the ending(s?) spoils a big plot twist, and will also fill in context if some things seem loose. Of course, if you don’t want to, the game does a good enough job telling it’s own story.

Hello! This is the official release of Mute's Christmas Quest, created by Daizo Dee Von with the help of Scooter102089. This project was started during October 2018 when I decided I wanted to make a surprise romhack for my good friend "EvilGuy0613" for Christmas. This is the result, a semi-sequel to Super Mario World: The After Years. This wasn't intended to be a canon entry to the series unless it was confirmed by Evil himself... however, on stream Evil did say it can be canon, and so... it is! So there you go, a canon entry to Evil's on going SMW Hack franchise.
This hack was originally released in Febuary 14th (Yes, Valentines day... so I didn't even complete it on time lul). It took Evil until his birthday on June 19th to stream the game blind live with the game using an anagram'd name "Mechas Musts Quitters" as it's file name. EvilGuy0613 thought me and Scooter did a super well done job on accurately representing the cast of characters from his series, along with a very interesting story to boot. But you can be the judge of that for sure.
There are some differences between Evil's version and the Official version:
-"Mute Start" is implemented.
-A few more "Emote Rooms" have been added.
-The opening disclaimer has been changed to not only mention the hack is canon, but also a big plot twist in The After Years is spoiled in this entry.
-This readme is different to the readme(s) Evilguy has read.
With that all being said, thank you for downloading Mute's Christmas Quest and hope you enjoy the story as much as me and Scooter wrote it... as well as the two levels I designed and the boss I set up with Mellonpizza's slight help. Mute's finally back!
