Le Connaisseur de Kaizo

Mesdames et messieurs, chers amis du Kaizo.

It is with great pleasure that I present to you a new hack from the house of “Schrausch Industries”. In this adventure, you will help Matthieu, Mario’s French cousin, to gather new inspiration for his famous oil paintings. The hack’s atmosphere is heavily inspired by Yoshi’s Island and is designed to simply spread good vibes. The eight levels feature classic Kaizo mechanics and solid platforming, and should present no problems for advanced players, while providing a nice challenge for beginners.

A common criticism of my hacks so far is the frequent use of animations and custom graphics. I can understand that, but unfortunately the creation of pixel art is my favourite part of Lunar Magic. If you are a bit sensitive or like vanilla graphics, this hack might not be for you. My challenge to myself while creating this hack was to get as much out of Super Mario Worlds graphical possibilities as possible, to create as many graphics as possible myself, to kitbash existing graphics and to combine all this with the mechanics of the levels as cleverly as possible. I had a lot of fun creating “Le Connaisseur de Kaizo” and hope that this hack will find a few fans.
