Krack's Kafe: Because They Kicked Me Out!

Standard: Very Hard

Changelog.txt
v1.0.2d Changes
- Fixed cutscenes. The files weren't updated correctly, resulting in crashes. (Basically what happened is the "pointer" file
for where the data is pointed to in the cutscene was leading to invalid data, which results in consistent crashing during the
hell cutscene room.)
- Herobrine removed.
v1.0.2c Changes
- Biggest thank you to mellonpizza for fixing a game breaking crash with LX5's VWF Cutscene Tool where if the music changes,
there is a really really small chance that the game completely breaks.
- But as a slight con, now if the text gets cleared, there is a 1 frame black flash that covers most sprite tiles.
Unfortunately, it was the lesser of two evils since fixing this bug would bring back the game breaking crash.
- Changed the opening text to be a lot simpler (just saying that it's an improved version of Krack's Kafe)
- Herobrine not removed.
v1.0.2b Changes
- Added MM102 to the credits. (My apologies)
- Fixed an unplayed sfx during the second cutscene.
- Cleared all keys upon entering the final boss fight against Krawn and "Huntre's Keytastrophic Revenge: Rekeyed".
- Allowed the ability to be big for "Huntre's Keytastrophic Revenge: Rekeyed" (only filtering item box).
v1.0.2 Changes - "The Update With More Time."
- An attempt was made to NOT have Krack's Kafe be a "Kaizo: Beginner" since it wasn't meant to be one to begin with.
- Improved message pop-up in 5th forest level (allowing the ability to re-read the message if it's accidentally skipped)
- Various nerfs and buffs in a number of levels.
- Fire Flowers should no longer be found.
- Fixed disappearing key in one of amHunter's levels
- Fixed Krack frames (new climbing animations)
- Fixed Boss RNG.
- Fixed bug with boss where you can change it's next attack while it's about to attack.
- Credited five more people (Alcaro, Mellonpizza, and Von Fahrenheit for patches; Heraga and juzcook for proofreading)
- The entire plot is both spellchecked and proofread.
- Changed story a slight touch.
- Changed boss battle theme; expanded to 2 minutes and 13 seconds with new leitmotifs and melodies.
- Changed invisibility mechanic so every 128 frames you see Krack briefly.
- Changed EVERY SMB3 themed room to be a lot less jerky (request by Heraga)
- Changed "Creepers" to follow a consistent turnaround pattern while following the player.
- Changed the "contra" down blocks so you can hold Down + B or Down + A (request by Heraga).
- Removed "GO BACK" blocks after the second "Huntre" level as requested by amHunter.
- Removed ability to skip title screen "cutscene" (until the screen scrolls to Krack's Kafe)
- Added the ability to properly disable cutscenes (if you select NO in the intro, they will be disabled entirely except credits)
- Added brand new voice clips from drkrdnk, amHunter, and Memory Martin (playing as Garison Stradford, Huntre, and Jessica)
- Added a plot summary of previous events in the series. (Mainly, Krack The Hack.)
- Added a plot summary for the intro. This will only give a summary of the intro cutscene; the rest of the cutscenes will be disabled.
- Added a basic "room selector" for after you beat the game where you can visit anywhere in the themed rooms.
- Added "Huntre's Keytastrophic Revenge: Rekeyed" as an unlockable minigame (basically all the original Hackjam amHunter rooms prior to the changes)
- Added a "cinematic" before forest area.
- Added a cutscene before the "hell" rooms.
- Added a player-controlled cutscene after the SMB3 rooms (if you allow cutscenes to play).
- Added an explosion flash for when the boss is destroyed.
- Added new NPCs to some rooms. (The Batter, Minta)
- Added new Zayken dialogue
- Added juzcook (can be found after beating the game)
- Added drkrdnk portrait
- Added "Krack Start!" (rare chance of another message appearing)
- Added Krack The Hack offscreen indicator (now that melloncode™️ is allowed again)
- Added double sprite spinjump patch.
- Added new rooms in first subarea where now you have access to other cutscenes.
- Added a new invisibility mode (hit the ON/OFF switch in the first subarea after beating the game)
- Added a secret ending (just beat the boss again. No need to play the whole game again, just use the BOSS shortcut door)
- Added a singular strand of hair
- "We did not add sans, Evilguy." ~Daizo Dee Von
- "We didn't have the legal rights to Sans unforunately" ~EvilGuy0613
- Herobrine removed
v1.0.1. Changes - "We finished Hackjam, we can submit it now."
- Removed missing key
- Herobrine not removed
v1.0.0. Changes - "We finished Hackjam, we had 5 days."
- Well, it's not Mario World anymore.
- Mushroom Kingdom: The Aforetimes > Krack's Kafe: Because They Kicked Me Out!
- Herobrine not removed
Definitions & Names To Know (Important).txt
After watching LaserBelch's playthrough, I had a small realization that the story
didn't properly introduce who everyone is as well as the terminology. Here's a short
brief look at everyone and everything.
--Terms-------------------------------------------------------------------------------
RIXZO
An alien species that crash landed on earth in 1777.
RIXZO WARS
A war between the Rixzos and the humans of Mystical from 1880 to 1977 (a war that
lasted close to a century). Krackenwolf was the leader of the Rixzos fighting against
the Mystical Queen and her Mysticarian soldiers.
MYSTICARIAN
A citizen from Mystical.
--Places------------------------------------------------------------------------------
DESMOND
The island the game takes place.
THE DESMOND BAR
A bar that is located in Noahna Village, which is on Desmond.
NOAHNA VILLAGE
A village that's on the bottom of Desmond.
MYSTICAL
An island that is near the north of the world map; said to be
the most advanced civilization on the planet.
JINKER INDUSTRIES
A factory that manufactures military weapons, but also
doubles as a talkshow studio for Jinker Bolts and his
apprentices.
THE "KEY HOLE"
An attraction set up by Jinker Bolts, said to be a place
that lures Krackenwolf into a trap.
--Characters (Protags)----------------------------------------------------------------
KRACKENWOLF (Krack for short)
Used to be a leader rixzo, Krackenwolf is a Koopa who works for Berk Hasslehoth.
He is able to use artilery and can create weapons. Has a thing for collecting
pure gold keys. He is the smartest of the group.
In Krack The Hack, he was a war general. If you enable cutscenes (YES to cutscenes,
NO to summaries) you might just see that aspect of his life explored more in this
update.
DAIZOKEN (Daizo for short)
A rixzo who is a brother of Krack. Has an additude, but also levelheaded enough to
keep things civil. He is the strongest of the group and is combat trained.
BILL THE BOB-OMB
A servant of Krackenwolf and Daizoken. Is considered the "lancer" and "heart" of
the group.
POWSER
A Jinker Bolts robot reprogrammed by Krackenwolf. Considered to be the "big guy" of
the group. You don't actually see him in this game, but has a brief mention.
--Characters (Antags)-----------------------------------------------------------------
JINKER BOLTS
The head of Jinker Industries and the main weapons dealer of many nations. Has a
mission to kill off Daizoken and Krackenwolf from his own higher ups, but his main
objective is to take over the world with his influence on his television shows and
pro-Jinker Bolts campaigns.
JIMMY
A train engineer that runs the transportation from Jinker Industries to the
volcano on top of Desmond. One of Jinker Bolts' apprentices.
JESSICA
A femme fatalle (assassin) with a timid side. One of Jinker Bolts' apprentices.
GRAND ADMIRAL KRAWN
The main villain of Krack's Kafe. You'll learn more about "it" in this game.
Said to be Jinker Bolts' most deadly creation.
--Characters (Side)-------------------------------------------------------------------
BERK HASSLEHOTH
A conspiracy theorist who is attempting to show Jinker Bolts' true side, and is also
Krackenwolf's main employer.
CALEB HASSLEHOTH
Berk's brother.
MILK HAZLENUT
The Desmond Bar owner with rotten purple skin. Not a child murderer.
GARISON STRADFORD
An investigator who takes on difficult missions to track down the truth of the
most mysterious cases. Has yet to be wrong about any case he takes on.
MYSTICAL QUEEN
The world's guardian and protector, and also the queen of Mystical (as her
name suggests). She was one of the opposing leaders during the Rixzo Wars.
HUNTRE
A guy who likes money.

VERSION: 1.0.2d
####################################################
Thank you for those who downloaded this rom hack.
Those who don't know how to patch BPS files should
first download FLIPS from SMW Central's Tool
Section, then apply this to a clean Super Mario
World rom (if you're lucky to have one). To test
if it's applied successfully, you should see the
"T.A.T. Presents" logo. If you see that, we're
good. If you just see Super Mario World with the
Nintendo logo, you're just playing the original
game. Not that it's a bad game tho, it's pretty
good.
Krack's Kafe is a 100 Rooms styled romhack that
plays much more like Krack The Hack. You play as a
Koopa named "Krackenwolf" who has recently stirred
up trouble in a local bar, to which his alien
brother "Daizoken" literally drags him out. After
an argument between the two brothers, Krack gets the
idea of opening up a cafe using the prize earnings
from a local attraction called "The Key Hole".
Despite it being obviously a trap set up by their
arch nemesis "Jinker Bolts", Krack sets out to
conquer it anyway to the dismay of both Daizo and
the recently introduced "Bill the Bob-omb".
Gameplay of Krack's Kafe has the a Koopa gather
4 keys (dragon coin reskins) to progress to the next
room. Almost every part of the game is a single
screen long (with one exception).
The game features an impressive amount of voice
acting, which while not all lines are read out loud,
you get a good idea on how almost every character
sounds. If you can, enable the cutscenes just for
that reason alone.
####################################################
WHAT TO EXPECT:
-A number of cutscenes
-Gameplay that's a mashup of Krack The Hack and
100 Rooms of Enemies (and it's many predecessors)
-Just play the game. I don't wanna spoil too much.
