v1.0 (September 11, 2016)
Initial release.
v1.1 (September 22, 2016)
- Fixed a glitch that made certain sprites turn into garbage when they were defeated.
- Changed several questions in a certain level so that players don't need to have played
the previous two games to get them right the first time.
- Changed several levels; these were mostly slight cosmetic, or changed other miscellaneous things.
- Removed a person from the credits; changed others and added one in the removed's place.
v1.1.1 (September 28, 2016)
- Fixed a minor graphical oddity in an early-game level
- Updated the graphics of a certain character
v1.2 (January 1, 2018)
- Added midway points to 70% of the levels.
- Altered the credits to be slightly shorter.
- Skippable cutscenes - Almost all cutscenes can now be bypassed by pressing the START button.
- Made the final boss much less punishing.
- Lowered the amount of hits needed to defeat the secret boss and the World 4 boss.
v2.0 (July 25, 2019)
- There's a new optional sidequest: The Nine Strange Keys. Collect them all to be able to enter a hidden door on the overworld. What's in the door? One hint: It's purely story related. Whether you're interested or not, you might as well look for them for that extra bit of challenge!
- In the story, more foreshadowing has been added, related to JTTMK 4. While said hack has been cancelled, I thought it would still be cool to drop hints here and let the player try to connect the dots and guess how its events might have gone down.
- Added and changed chunks of more than half of the levels. Too many changes to list, but to summarize, much of the designs have been altered to be at least a little more fleshed out. There's not TOO much I could do without revamping every single level, something I am not willing to do anymore (I'd like to move on from the JTTMK hacks now), but this is better than what I originally released in 2016 without a doubt.
- The quiz in the world 3 castle has been rewritten entirely. Assuming you're not gonna spam save states or are playing on console, pay attention to the prior cutscenes and text boxes to help get the answers!
- I've taken the liberty of going through every single cutscene in the game and tweaking or flat-out rewriting them entirely. Mainly to keep up with my current standards of writing. Now, the story itself is totally fanfiction at its finest, but back in 2015-2016 I put way more time than I should have into planning it... at least now it's a perfectly servicable fan story that is no longer obviously written by a 14 year old.
- Changed the credits slightly.
- The sidequest mentioned above brings the total exits to 35 instead of 34 now.
- Several level names have been changed to more accurately reflect the contents of said levels.
- The world 2 submap has been tweaked a bit.
- The world 4 castle is now an actual level and not just a cutscene+boss.
