Fragaria 🍓

Mario has been stomping turtle heads for several decades now and feels some sort of emptiness continuously fill his heart. Is this what they call a midlife crisis? Legend has it that somewhere beyond the great mountains a fruit like no other can be found. A fruit so sweet, it sparkles pure joy… Can you find it and cure Mario´s depression?

Fragaria is the final hack of my (unplanned) botany-themed kaizo-trilogy. It started out as an attempt to make a couple of bonuslevels for the predecessor “Linnaea”, but eventually became its own thing. I tried to include more asm and the hack therefore turned out to have a stronger chocolate-flavor and hopefully provides a more varied gameplay than my previous hacks.

Features: -10 main levels + 3 slightly harder shell-levels -short sections -11 different pixelated plants (including a total of 2 super tasty strawberries) + 1 pixelated mammal -All your favorite sticky ceiling setups and more (I´m addicted, I know) -A heartwarming low-effort story
