Enter the Gizzverse

After two music hacks, I said I wouldn’t do another music hack. And yet, here we are.

This hack is dedicated to my all time favorite band, King Gizzard and the Lizard Wizard. They are a psychedelic rock band from Melbourne, Australia known for their prolific output and for changing genres with every release. Their music spans krautrock to acoustic folk to thrash metal to hip hop to jam band to prog to funk to synth pop and more. To date, they have released 25 albums since 2012, and the odds are good that by the time you play this Gizz will have put out another record. Heck, one of the songs used in this game was released after I started working on it.

Regarding the hack itself. There are 9 exits of modest difficulty, mostly focusing on platforming with vanilla physics or a single gimmick per level. Each level is named for a song by the band and contains a port of the same. Each port is made using only SMW samples, as a challenge to myself to make good music without relying on external samples.
