A hack that tries to implement as many pre-release and prototype assets into SM64, With some extra polish.
Experience the stars of January ‘96 and other pre-release ones, and explore long forgotten test stages. Surf on lava past Blarggs, toss back at Ice Tossya, and find the Yellow Koopa Shell Switch.
Utilize old and forgotten moves such as Dashing, Squat Kick, SSK Sideflip, and JumpStep3.
Includes several debug features such as a position display, restored level select, free move, Frame Advance, and a custom speed display.
Fully compatible with console, no expansion pack is required.
To activate level select, go to the title screen and press Z + Start at the same time.
To activate position display, do the same code as the level select in-game.
To activate free move, press L + R + Start while paused.
To squatkick press B when crouching.
To dash hold B and move the analog stick forward.
Pre-release English dialog is also included.
To activate the speed display, press L.
1/19/2023 Update 3.4.12: “Another Junuary”
Dashing now uses beta acceleration, meaning it will be slow at the start but faster at the end. Heavily optimized math functions with code from HackerSM64, also collision optimization. Enabled the 9 vertex shadows, which was disabled by the developers. Changed two star names, “Small at Holm”, and “Clocking in at the Peak” Tossya no longer stutters when running, he now uses a dynamic run turn speed. Metal Wing Box, hopefully fixed. Moved some Yajima Land objects to subareas, mostly just the cap box duplicates.
7/19/2023 Update 3.4.13: “Snowfilled Wait”
Spindrift Model Changes, spindrift sound has been adjusted. Ice Motos has been changed to resemble the Ice Bullies more. SL Painting Snow Restored Snow/Blizzard has been fixed. TTC Clock sound has been fixed to use the intended sound. Bowser Fire now falls slightly differently. Pathed Iron Balls now make movement noise. Dice textures adjusted. RAM is now cleared on boot. Additional Optimizations have been added.
10/2/2023 Update 3.4.14: “Console Compatible”
Spindrift model reverted to vanilla to fix crash in snow levels. Upstairs crash is now fixed. Bowser 3 now uses a red/orange floor to match b-roll footage. Burn smoke now uses animated dust textures, making it save space, while also being accurate to Shoshinkai. Adjusted a few sounds.
1/31/2025 Update 3.4.15: “Sunny Day”
Implemented Angry Sun Changed sleeping particles to be white (matches Yoshi’s Island) Added giddywakeup (press A during the first sleeping animation) Rolling Rocks in Cave Maze now break on impact with the player. Removed an extraneous red coin in Desert Pyramid Added slight RNG to the throwable dice in Yajima Land Corrected the star name “Scowering the Sewers” to “Scouring the Sewers” Tossya (Motosman) no longer bounces when dropping down. The player can throws Tossya (Motosman) slightly farther. Removed one Blargg by the volcano. Blargg’s collision and speed have been changed to make it more fair. Updated Level Select Names (Stage 38: Cave Dungeon, Stage 25: EXT10 Cake, Stage 15: Fire Bubble2). Firebubble2 added as a dummy stage. Added some optimizations. Updated the power meter.
