Super Mario 64 Haunted Woods Hack By Alex Free - Version 1.0, released October 10/8/2020.

==Info==
This SM64 Hack contains one new level with two massive areas and a cap stage.
There are 6 acts and one coin star (7 total stars). This hack is intentionally much harder then the original game, some things may
seem not at all obvious. If you want to see a full playthrough of this hack done by myself, you can watch my YouTube video play through
at https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=KfT8q1NxBTM . I really do however encourage you to figure this out on your own.

If you are unfamilar with .bps patching and or SM64 hacks, please follow the instructions below to start playing this SM64 hack.

==Requirements==
1) An original Super Mario 64 USA ROM, this is usually named "Super_Mario_64__U_____.z64".
2) A Nintendo 64 Emulator (I recomend Project 64 version 1.6, I DO NOT recomend the newer versions unless
you want to deal with an artifical countdown on cold start of the emulator. (Download at https://www.zophar.net/download_file/33554 )
3) A computer (I'm pretty sure this does NOT work on console).
4) Flips patcher (Download at https://www.smwcentral.net/?p=section&a=details&id=10347 )

==Patching Steps==
1) Run 'flips.exe' (in the Flips patcher release's extracted directory).
2) Click 'Apply Patch'.
3) Select the 'sm64_haunted_woods.bps' file in this release's extracted directory when the window opens.
4) Another window will open, select the original 'Super_Mario_64__U_____.z64' file you obtained yourself.
If the file does not appear in the window and you are in the correct directory, change the
'Most Common ROM Files' option in the lower right corner of the window to 'All Files'.
5) Another window will open, select your output file (or overwrite your original 'Super_Mario_64__U_____.z64').

As long as you see a window saying 'The patch was applied successfully!' you now have a Super Mario 64 Haunted
Woods ROM.

==Emulator Setup==
In your emulator, make sure the default memory size is set to 8MB. To do this in Project 64 version
1.6:

1) Run 'Project64.exe'.
2) Select the 'Options' tab and click 'Settings'. Ensure that 'Hide Advanced Settings' is not selected. Click 'OK', and open
the settings again as before.
3) Click the 'Advanced' tab and change the 'Default Memory Size:' using the
drop down selector to 8MB.

That's all you need to do to play. Huge thanks to Pilzinsel64 (website at https://pilzinsel64.com/ )for the SM64 ROM Manager tool used
to create this.
