SM64 Royal Legacy

For fans of SM64 Sapphire: a brand new 30-star adventure awaits you. This is a very traditional platformer hack meant to challenge players who have already mastered everything vanilla SM64 asks of you. 4 original worlds, complete with a hub, Bowser stage and fight. The entire soundtrack is original music composed just for this game.

[Author's Note]
Thanks for downloading my hack! This is my first hack. It started as a
mini project around May 2019 that I thought I'd never actually finish,
and it was put on hold mid June of that year. Enter March 2020, when
I lost my job to COVID-19 and needed a project to fill my time. I rebooted
the project and decided to put my all into it. I finished it in August 2020
and released it on September 14, 2020. I'm very proud of the work
and I hope you enjoy it as much as I enjoyed making it.

Thank you SO much to my 4 beta testers for diligently and thoroughly
working through my hack and providing invaluable feedback. Each of you
were integral to increasing this hack's quality - it simply would
not have been as great without your input. Thank you so much!

Q: Can I use your music in my hack?
A: As this music was custom written exclusively for the purposes of my
hack, I would strongly prefer that you do not. However, since I can't
exactly stop you from doing so, if you choose to do so anyway, I would
very much appreciate that you credit me and/or my friend for the work.

Countless people contributed in so many ways, large and small. I apologize
if you don't see your name here even if you helped in some way, but it's
more likely that you'll see your name here and think "wait, I didn't do anything!" :)
ToasterKetchup, for patiently enduring my endless inquiries, for diving head-first
into coding catastrophes and coming out alive, for checking up on my
progress, for beta testing even when you weren't feeling it, for walking me
through Seq64, HxD and N64Rip, and for being an internet buddy.
Daleroysteve, for writing some killer tracks (many of which I am jealous I didn't
write myself), which made the task of writing all custom music for this
hack a whole lot easier.
IndieMusicMinute, for making a sick trailer to showcase my work. Very talented video
guy and has a great YouTube channel if you like indie rock, guitar lessons,
gear reviews and music theory lessons - I recommend checking it out!
7KNGS (Jules Mansour), for getting me into speedrunning vanilla SM64, for beta testing,
for playing a boatload of ROM hacks with me, and for being a bro for many years!
Mosky2000, for being open to having long conversations about porting music into SM64
and for taking the time to walk me through N64SoundTool. I learned a lot from
you and enjoyed talking to you, you're a great dude (and his music ports are
awesome - check them out!).
Aglab2, for stopping in to my stream one night and telling me to blend my texture seams lol
SM64Pie, Kaze, Brodute, OnFullTilt, and Nutta, all of whom have one or more valuable
video tutorials on YouTube that helped me in some way to make this hack a
reality. Thank you so much for contributing your know-how, guys!
To the many discord servers - SM64 ROM Hack Community, SimpleFlips Server: The Idiots,
SM64 ROM Hacks (previously SM64Hacks Discord) - and the people in them who
answered so, so many of my questions. There is no way I could include everyone
who answered a question for me, but off the top of my head, special thanks to
Pyro Jay (I know for a fact this guy answered at least 10 of my questions lol),
Rovert, Kaze, sizzlingmario4, Samantha, GraymonDgt, and The Sweet Matt, among
so many others.
