Shift Post 64, otherwise known as Super HACKIO 64 is my first attempt at hacking
Super Mario 64. It takes the familiar vanilla game and spices it up as a
palette swap. However, not only is it a palette swap, but it's also a difficulty
increase hack as well. The game includes some higher quality graphics most
notably in the HUD and menus. There's also a brand new story I made up for the
game. It's not really meant to be taken seriously, but it has to do with Mario
and Bowser 20-30 years in the future when they are much older and done with
conflict.
If this goes well, I might try again at making a real ROM hack, but it will
take MUCH longer than this. There's still time to improve on the utilisation
of the existing hacking tools, especially the custom music importer which I
did not use for this hack.
