Teleports Behind You Get ready to become the strongest fighter in the Sonic Fighting Academy in 64 BITS! Coldsteel The Hedgeheg’s 7th outing on the N64 is edgier than ever (disclaimer not edgy enough to be disqualified). Can you beat Trent Razner’s (not to be confused with Trent Reznor of NIN) ultimate challenge? Find out if you have the guts to beat the romhack critics are probably berating the custom camera about, (guys this was designed for Sonic in mind, not Mario). Rated E for Everyone, except Kevin Robinson from school (idk who that is but it’s part of the Coldsteel meme).

This hack was made for the 2023 Simpleflips Troll Themed competition.

This is also my debut appearance in a Simpleflips hacking comp or any SM64-related hacking comp for that matter.

I created this hack in just 5 days before the deadline as a means of intentionally making the game feel "unfinished".
My goal is to emulate a Sonic game that has a lot of potential but ultimate is bad because Sonic Team needed more dev time to polish the game.
And thus the same has happened to me from this self-imposed torture I made myself endure (originally there was gonna be 3 levels and a boss, but I had to replace them with filler)

This also runs on a neutered/modified version of the Sonic Mushroom Blast engine (A total conversion character hack I've been chipping away at for the past year)
Some optimizations/features in the engine are missing however, (such as settings menu, emu-enhanced widescreen, no need for expansion pak, etc)

The hack is based off a mix of HackerSM64 2.0.9 and 2.1 as well as some snippets of Kaze code and a huge chunk of code from Fazana's M&M's branch.
Credits to both Kaze and Fazana respectively.

Anyway hope you enjoy and remember, "Nothin' Personnel Kidd!".
